War Thunder Tank Armor Basics — War Thunder cheat overlay gameplay

War Thunder Tank Armor Basics

RHA, angling, and overmatch concepts for ground battles — gameplay, not a cheat module.

War Thunder models armor with thickness, slope, and material. This is a gameplay primer. The cheat listing does not include a weak-spot ESP or armor calculator.

Thickness and angle

Effective thickness rises as plates angle away from the shot. A 100 mm plate at 60 degrees presents more line-of-sight thickness than the same plate head-on. Official protection analysis in the hangar is the right place for per-vehicle numbers — we will not invent them here.

Overmatch and normalization

Large-caliber AP can overmatch thin plates. Normalization can reduce the impact angle of some AP types. Details change with shell family; see shell types.

If you use tank visuals, boxes do not replace this knowledge. Product page vs this guide: different jobs.
